LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 29-member squad for the tour of England, with young batsman Haider Ali securing a place in the squad for the tour of England. According to details, a 29-member national team has been announced for the tour of England, batsman of the national under-19 cricket team, and emerging young cricketer Haider Ali has been included in the national squad.
Three-Test and three-T20 series between Pakistan and England will be played in England in August-September. A squad of players, both long and limited, has been selected for the tour of England. Apart from Haider Ali, spinner Kashif Bhatti is also awaiting his debut in the 29-member squad.

He was part of the squad announced against Australia and Sri Lanka but did not make the final XI.

He was not included in the potential squad for the Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh. Fast bowler Sohail Khan has returned to the national squad. He played his last Test match in 2016 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Sohail Khan took 22 wickets in 9 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches last season. He took 7 wickets while representing Quetta Gladiators in PSL 5.
Haider Ali, Kashif Bhatti, and Sohail Khan, as well as Harris Sohail, all the players in the central contract have been included in the squad. Apart from them, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Khushdal Shah, Fahim Ashraf, Imran Khan, and Fawad Alam have also been made part of the squad. The selectors have included Bilal Asif, Muhammad Nawaz, Musa Khan and Imran Butt in the reserve players.

All four have been kept as backups if any of the players test positive for the COVID 19 before leaving for England. The Corona Tests for the tour of England will take place on June 20 and 25.


Fast bowlers Hassan Ali, Mohammad Aamir, and middle-order batsman Haris Sohail were not available for the England tour. Hassan Ali was not available due to a back injury and Mohammad Amir was due to give birth to a second child, while Haris Sohail did not reveal his availability for a tour of England due to the coronavirus outbreak.
